In May 2006, Combined Resources Inc. (CRI) opened its doors with just three employees and a collective knowledge base of over 20 years in the window and door industry.

That small but rich foundation helped to put the California-based company on the fast track for future growth. Eight years later, CRI has seen an increase in staff as well as new partners like Western Window Systems.

The relationship started in 2007, when CRI utilized door and window systems from Western for custom work and high-end multi-residential projects. In 2009, the companies worked together on a tract home job from luxury homebuilder Toll Brothers. Since then, the two have joined forces on over 45 tract projects.

“Western’s Volume Program has been one of the keys to our rapid business success,” says CRI owner Traci Kelley. “We’re completely focused on selling and servicing the tract homebuilders.”

Western Window Systems business development representative Erick Felsch says CRI primarily sells Multi-Slide and Bi-Fold Doors from the Volume Program, but that “they’re not afraid to use our custom-sized products as well.”

Felsch emphasizes that this willingness to step outside the box to help builders get what they want – along with a dedication to quality and a readiness to take on challenging projects – are what make CRI a successful partner.
