On Saturday, November 22, employees of Western Window Systems took a break from designing and manufacturing windows and doors to gather at Kiwanis Park in Tempe with their families for the company’s 25th annual picnic.

The day was filled with plenty of activities like volleyball and cornhole as well as bounce houses and a rock-climbing wall for the kids. After filling up on hamburgers and hot dogs, the team got together for a raffle of top-notch prizes like TVs, iPads, and tickets to see the Phoenix Suns. Proceeds from the raffle will go toward sponsoring families in need this Christmas.

“We take pride in being an organization that encourages family, fun, and partnership as much as we do excellence, innovation, and hard work,” says COO Scott Gates. “It’s our culture.”

Executive assistant Katie Nau, who, along with applications support specialist Mike Faulkner, was instrumental in organizing the event, says around 325 people attended the picnic.

“My kids had fun and my family got to meet the people I work with,” says CNC operator Joey Bianco. “The best part was all of it.”
