For the fifth straight year, Western Window Systems will play a major role at the 2018 NAHB International Builders’ Show, taking place January 9-11 in Orlando.

Not only will Western Window Systems show off its innovative new Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door in three different model homes and a custom-built sales pavilion, but the company also will act as sponsor of an exciting new attraction at this year’s Show Village, located in the parking lot outside the Orange County Convention Center.

“Show Village Live” will feature streaming interviews conducted on the Show Village stage for an hour in the morning and afternoon on January 9 and 10. Professional Builder sales director Adam Grubb, whose “Building Science” videos can be viewed on probuilder.com, will interview newsmakers from the National Association of Home Builders, as well as builders, architects, designers, and product manufacturers.

In addition to sponsoring “Show Village Live,” Western Window Systems will present its new Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door in three model homes being introduced at IBS. The company’s most energy-efficient door yet will appear in these real-life settings to give attendees an up-close, hands-on experience.

“We’re thrilled to be able to be part of Show Village at this year’s IBS,” says Andrew Darr, vice president of custom sales. “We’ll be showing off our products in a beautiful modern home that will allow attendees to truly experience how our products can help them live better.”

The aptly named Modern Home, built by Nationwide Home, is the first of three Show Village models to include the Series 7600. In addition to featuring the multi-slide, which opens from the great room to a massive deck, the 1,803-square-foot home is outfitted entirely with Western Window Systems doors and windows.

“The market is very excited about this new offering and all that it provides,” Darr says. “The Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door is engineered and designed to do things that other companies’ products can’t!”

In another model, the LaBelle, a transitional 2,655-square-foot home, the Series 7600 integrates the main living space with a screened-in porch, fireplace, and outdoor kitchen.

The third model, The Atrium, is a 1,233-square-foot urban loft-style home featuring Series 7600 multi-slides on the home’s front and back, where it expands the area for entertaining guests. Both the La Belle and the Atrium are built by Palm Harbor Homes of Plant City, Florida.

The Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door also will appear in Builder Magazine’s concept home for 2018, the ReNEWable Living Home, a Meritage Homes construction that Builder says “shines a spotlight on healthy, energy-efficient home solutions.”

Says Western Window Systems vice president of production builder sales Chet Willis: “The ReNEWable Living Home project is the perfect showcase for all the new technology in homebuilding. Meritage Homes is raising the bar on what a smart home looks like and how it lives.”

Meritage Homes and architect BSB Design worked for a year to create this unique project, which Builder calls “a pioneering venture in innovative design, engineering, materials science, and construction practices that coalesce around transforming homeownership with homes that renew, grow, change, and adapt as owners’ needs and stories evolve.”

Adds Willis: “Meritage’s multi-generational approach to home design and its focus on creating a healthy, renewable environment is certainly complemented by the outdoor living spaces they have created using our Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door. Its super-energy-efficient design, structural performance, and smart-lock technology weave nicely into the theme of this home and perfectly complement the contemporary design of the project.”
