Western Window Systems, a leader in designing and manufacturing custom door and window systems, has announced the promotion of Scott Gates to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Gates was previously the vice president and general manager of Western Window Systems and has been with the company since 2010. In his new role as COO, Gates will continue to be responsible for the engineering, marketing, operations, and service departments as well as ensuring operational excellence across the company.
“Scott has been a tremendous asset to our business,” says Western Window Systems CEO Jason Funk. “His promotion reflects his increasing role in operations. And because we’re poised for even more growth in the future, it’ a necessary expansion of his responsibilities in order to have a greater impact on the company.”
Gates has contributed to Western Window Systems’ accelerated growth (the company was recently named one of Inc. magazine’s fastest-growing companies in the U.S. with a three-year sales growth of 236 percent) by improving on-time deliveries, reducing lead times, implementing a private label program, rebranding marketing materials, and increasing employee retention. Gates is a board member of Sun Valley Community Church in Gilbert, Arizona, as well as Orchard: Africa, a nonprofit organization creating sustainable change in rural African villages. Gates earned a BS from Arizona State University in 2004 and is expected to graduate with an MBA from Arizona State University in early 2015.
