Western Window Systems has signed on as a supporting sponsor for the KB Home ProjeKt: Where Tomorrow Lives, which, according to ProjeKt co-producer Hanley Wood, will represent the ultimate exploration of health, wellness, and sustainability in a volume homebuilding framework.

One of the largest homebuilders in the United States, KB Home will create a new residence designed to inform the public of health and wellness issues that can be addressed and/or improved within the home environment. At the same time, the KB Home ProjeKt will bring new insight to the professional building community on how to design, engineer and construct an attainable and cost-effective healthy home.

“We know the best way to predict the future is to build it,” said Jeffrey Mezger, KB Home chairman, president, and CEO. “In the ProjeKt home, we will explore materials, processes and systems that will influence homebuilding in the future. Our goal is to build higher performance homes that also promote sustainable and healthier living and provide flexible home designs that can adapt to homeowners’ changing needs.”

Among the health and wellness matters to be spotlighted in the ProjeKt are air and water quality, circadian lighting, noise reduction, and sound sleep support.

The KB Home ProjeKt: Where Tomorrow Lives home will be revealed in the Inspirada master-planned community in Henderson, Nevada in January 2019. Visit http://www.builderonline.com/kbhomeprojekt to stay up-to-date with the KB Home ProjeKt developments.
