Owen Ayres

Helping to shoulder the responsibilities of another position while continuing to successfully perform your own duties is no easy task. But Owen Ayres, of Western Window Systems’ accounts payable team, makes it look easy.

“If I have a question, Owen will answer it or direct me to someone who can,” says Raven Leazier, who heads up the front desk. “He never gets frustrated – and I ask millions of questions!”

For the last several weeks, Ayres, who started with the company last June, has been taking on some of the financial tasks associated with human resources while its director position is being filled. Ayres’ extra efforts – answering payroll questions, heading up the E-Verify process, and participating in new employee orientations – have resulted in uninterrupted service for employees and a smooth transition for new hires.

“He’s professional, easy to work with, and always ready to help,” says Tim Hurd of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. “Owen doesn’t give lip service, you can count on him to get things done.”

Congratulations to Owen Ayres, Western Window Systems’ lean problem solver for August.
