Jason Wengert

Manager Jason Wengert is a true good news story. Nearly 20 years ago, while simultaneously growing his family, he rose through the ranks at Western Window Systems and is now responsible for managing the hinge and bi-fold door departments.

“His vast knowledge surpasses that of everyone on the floor,” says production manager Chris Allgood. “To this day, Jason is passionate about the work. He makes sure things get done right.”

Wengert started his career with Western Window Systems in 1998. He left for a few years to work in the HVAC industry, but when he found he wasn’t spending as much time with his family as he’d like, he came back to the company in 2014.

“Jason’s a lean-thinking manager,” says Dean Seger, vice president of manufacturing. “He sees ten steps and he’s thinking about how to turn them into eight or nine.”

Wengert’s the first to say he’s successful because of his team and his coworkers, but Allgood says that compliment goes both ways. By giving his team the right information to complete jobs, teaming up with other departments and managers and readjusting his schedule to achieve production goals, Wengert demonstrates accountability, flexibility, and a willingness to get his hands dirty to solve problems.

“Jason is a great manager on many levels,” says Allgood. “Not only does he tackle issues within his own area, he helps other departments as well. And that makes us a better company.”

Congratulations to Jason Wengert, Western Window Systems’ manager of the quarter.
