Glen Froehlich

Some people know a little about a lot of things, some people know a lot about a few things. Glen Froehlich knows a lot about a lot of things.

“He’s the sage. He’s the guru. He’s the guy who can do it all,” says vice president and general manager Scott Gates. “He’s a contributor to nearly every facet of our business.”

Since he started at Western Window Systems in 2000, Froehlich has worked on the door line and as a plant manager. In his current role as product design manager, he’s been instrumental in the design of the new Series 670 window line as well as ensuring the accuracy of CustomView and BOM (bill of material) calculations. And Froehlich’s vast knowledge of the business sees him helping with equipment on the shop floor, answering install questions, and contributing to departments such as IT, marketing, and manufacturing.

“Of our thousands of part numbers, Glen can probably name them all,” says Gates. “And when customers describe an issue they may be having with a door, he can diagnose the problem and how to fix it quickly and accurately.”

Gates goes on to say that Froehlich has an entertaining side as well.

“He can always make you laugh. His jokes may not be ready for prime time, but he’s still
pretty funny.”

Congratulations to Glen Froehlich, Western Window Systems’ manager of the quarter, July 2014.
