John Dirksen

It’s been quite a run for project manager John Dirksen, a man whose skill and leadership has proved invaluable to Western Window Systems time and time again.

And after helping orchestrate the company’s big move to Miss 2200 and making sure it wraps up smoothly, John is saying au revoir to a successful career to hopefully log more quality time on the slopes. Undoubtedly, he will be missed by many.

“John brought his contracting and inspection expertise to his projects with every detail in mind throughout the past 17 years of his contributions to Western Window Systems,” said vice president of manufacturing Dean Seger.

Even when a project arose without a defined path, John, who started with the company in September 2000, was known to pull his team together to deliver a project to a customer.

When John took on leadership of the CAD department, he improved upon the processes and helped his team members sharpen their skills.

“The end result was an even better experience for customers, sales, and manufacturing to deliver products correctly the first time and on time,” said Seger.

Beyond the nuts and bolts of the business, though, John during his tenure with the company has been everything that exemplifies Western Window Systems’ core value of partnership. And when the new facility is 100 percent up and running, John’s stamp will be all over it.

“John has been the common thread for all of Western Window Systems to ensure that the new office will be fun and functional at the same time,” said Seger. “His tireless efforts to work across all departments and with the architect, the general contractor, and their subcontractors have meant that the new office will be incredible.”

Incredible, indeed. Just like John himself.

Congratulations to John Dirksen, Western Window Systems’ office employee of the month for April.
