Kyle Niemier

American photographer David Alan Harvey said, “Don’t shoot what it looks like. Shoot what it feels like.” It’s advice that Kyle Niemier, photographer for Western Window Systems, takes to heart. His images tell a story of beautiful views, fresh air and sunshine, and blending the indoors with the outside.

“Kyle’s like a samurai warrior, Zen master, and photographer rolled into one,” says Laura Hahnefeld, marketing director. “He’s highly skilled, focused, and has an unflappable sense of calm when it comes to getting the best shots for our brand.”

Niemier began his career with Western Window Systems in 2014. Within a short time, he was producing photo and video shoots, organizing large batches of images on the server, and editing photographs to be used in publications such as Dwell magazine.

“Kyle loves a challenge, especially the opportunity to prove he can tackle any project, no matter how daunting,” says Hahnefeld. “His organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks has made numerous shoots run smoothly and efficiently.”

Recently, Niemier took the lead on helping the marketing team get on board with a new project workflow program. By taking the initiative to educate himself, he was able to provide thoughtful feedback and clear direction to struggling coworkers. The result was enhanced workflow and more transparent communication.

“Kyle goes out of his way to be there for his coworkers,” says creative director Jeff Kesar. “He’s currently helping the newest member of the team learn a new skill: finishing images.”

Congratulations to Kyle Niemier, Western Window Systems’ office employee of the month for February.
