Jennifer Lopez

It didn’t take long for Jennifer Lopez to make her mark at Western Window Systems.

Just a few months after starting in July 2016 as senior cost analyst, Jennifer took a deep dive in the company’s inventory accounts, found numerous errors, and quickly fixed them. Then she developed the finance department’s first-ever departmental budget model, and she did it with limited direction.

Described as “exceptional” by Chief Financial Officer Heather Zorge, Jennifer is known for her ability to solve problems, analyze results, and develop new reporting tools to account for the company’s inventory.

“She creates tools when needed to solve problems and just keeps working to find solutions,” Zorge says. “If Plan A isn’t going to work, she is always thinking about a Plan B. Settling isn’t in her vocabulary.”

In 2017, Jennifer was promoted to finance manager, taking over the accounts payable process, which resulted in significant improvement in timely payments and vendor relationships. She also took on the role of developing a detailed analysis for the pricing of the company’s new Series 7000 product line.

“Jenny has meant everything to my team,” says Zorge. “She has an amazing attitude no matter what is going on, and I truly believe that pretty much everyone at Western Window Systems enjoys any interaction they have with her. She is smart, kind, improve-ment-oriented and never gives up.”

Jennifer is known to lend a hand wherever she can and is willing to take on any job.

“When she saw that potentially a team member in another department was struggling to get some data entered into the system, she said, ‘Can I get trained to help?’” Zorge says. “She is amazing.

Congratulations to Jennifer Lopez, Western Window Systems’ office employee of the year for 2017.
