Ask any sales rep how selling has changed in the past decade, and chances are you’ll hear the answer, “It’s a lot harder.” Yet, Western Window Systems’ Volume Program sales representative Mike Peetz makes it look easy. How does he do it?
“Mike pays attention to details and never fails to do things to the best of his abilities,” says Chet Willis, vice president of production builder sales. “He goes above and beyond to make sure things are dialed in. He’s focused on getting it right.”
In 2014, Peetz took over the sales responsibilities in Southern California, one of the building industry’s fastest-paced markets. By learning the area quickly and developing innovative plans to establish goals, he was able to build key relationships, including finding a prospective new dealer customer for the Volume Program. His success in the core value of partnership helps Peetz maintain healthy relationships with established customers as well, especially in situations like tough sales negotiations and late payments.
“He’s a great relationship builder,” says Willis. “The SoCal dealers and builders have truly embraced Mike. They know when they need something, he’ll be there for them.”
Congratulations to Mike Peetz, Western Window Systems’ office employee of the month for July.
