Danny Bach

Working in manufacturing is similar to a roller coaster ride: there are plenty of ups and downs. What matters is how you choose to respond. In the case of Larry Huerta, it’s with a great attitude.

As a manufacturing plant whose product involves a wide variety of metals, screws, bolts, clips, ball bearings and all sorts of other parts, your buyer would be important. As a manufacturing plant with those same challenges and one that adheres to the lean manufacturing principle of “Just in time,” well, your buyer becomes crucial to the success of your business. Thankfully for Western, one of our buyers, Danny Bach, has consistently risen to the challenge of managing the daily needs for thousands of parts at our rapidly growing company.

“Identifying automatic reordering points or working with a supplier for a certain part or price is as much of an art as it is a science,” said Glen Froehlich, Western’s product design manager. “Danny has done an outstanding job of making sure our guys on the floor have the parts they need to keep up with our increasing orders.”

“Danny started out in our supply room and did such an amazing job there that when we had an opening for a buyer he was our only choice,” said Scott Gates, vice president and general manager. “He’s become a big part of our team and helped us navigate some tough spots since the demand for our product has become so great. Danny’s a big asset for us and we’re glad to have him.”

Since Western’s growth has accelerated over the past few years, there have been countless opportunities for team members to step up and help us improve as a company. Danny has been one of the best examples of that attitude and as far as we, his colleagues, feel, he’s going to continue to be a huge reason for our success moving forward.

Congratulations to Danny Bach, Western Window Systems’ shop employee of the month for May.
