During the company’s big move over the holiday break, night shift department manager Steve Center really flexed his muscles. Working in a short time frame for such a huge task, Center rolled up his sleeves and made sure the job got done quickly and efficiently.
“It’s just one example of the ownership he’s taken in his role,” says president and CEO Scott Gates. “And he does it without seeking any recognition for his efforts.”
“On top of that, I just love his demeanor,” Gates says.
Steve started with the company in April 2014 in the metal department. Now he’s responsible for the entire night shift.
“Our night crew would not have been a success without the leadership Steve provides,” says production manager Chris Allgood.
Gates echoes the sentiment: “Leadership counts for something extra on the night shift because we just have to have someone who knows how to lead a big group and take care of them.”
Congratulations to Steve Center, Western Window Systems’ 2016 night shift shop employee of the year.
