Willie Cruz
Willie Cruz is a total glass man.
In his job in the windows glazing department in the shop, he comes up with new ways to keep the manufacturing line moving and is determined to deliver the highest quality product.
“This guy is excellent. He works so hard,” windows and glass manager Karl Price says. “He has an amazing work ethic and has the ability to lift others around him to do their best, as well.”
Cruz started working at Western Window Systems in September of 2018. He’s helped make improvements in the glazing department including a method for finding glass more quickly. “He created his own process for locating glass and has taught others,” Price says. “He finds new ways to keep the line moving and stays ahead of any obstacles.”
When it comes to fulfilling orders, Cruz shoots for perfection. “He always has the customer in mind when working on units, making sure that they are the best quality money can buy,” Price says.
Partnership is another priority for the hardworking glazier. Cruz jumps at the chance to help or teach others in his department, quickly training and turning new employees into skilled team players. “He works well with others,” Price says, “and he keeps a positive attitude.”
