Daniel Thompson

When it’s quitting time in the middle of a big move, but the work isn’t done and deadlines loom, sometimes it’s necessary to roll up the sleeves and push through till the end.

That’s when a company needs employees like Daniel Thompson, who works in the panels department. Daniel stuck it out when the company was wrestling with the computerized numerical controller (CNC) system in the new Western Window Systems shop.

“Daniel put in extra hours — sometimes 20 hours a day — with ‘Team CNC’ to dial in the programming so we were able to produce parts,” says panels manager Josh Stegall.

Dialing it in meant bringing ideas to the table to improve the process and complete it as efficiently as possible. And Daniel did it all with a positive mental attitude.

“He never has a bad thing to say,” Stegall says.

Daniel also helped train others, all while keeping quality control at the forefront.

“He accepts no defects and always works with the customer in mind,” Stegall says. “Daniel always helps find solutions and is a great coach when it comes to training.”

Congratulations to Daniel Thompson, Western Window Systems’ day shop employee of the month for February.
