Luis Uribe Romero

It’s good to have goals. Just ask Luis Uribe Romero, a member of Western Window Systems’ SWAT team.

Earlier this year, Luis saw a shop record and figured it was time to break it.

“Luis set out to break the panel assembly record – with no help,” says frames/SWAT manager Jason Wengert. “In nine hours and 50 minutes, he assembled 52 panels. He pushes to go above and beyond the department standards.”

He’s clearly a guy who likes a good challenge, and he doesn’t hesitate to try to improve what he sees around him.

“In order to improve averages and value to the team, a person needs to be willing to take on new challenges,” Wengert says. “Luis is one to strategize ways to improve or bounce ideas off management to improve flow in the department.”

And Luis, who started with the company in July 2015, does it all with a demeanor his teammates can’t help loving.

“Attitudes are contagious,” says Wengert, “and this guy has a charismatic personality. He begins his day with a smile and with the intent of helping his team be successful no matter where he works.”

Congratulations to Luis Uribe Romero, Western Window Systems’ day shift shop employee of the month for May.
