Joe Hernandez

Hopefully, “oneteam” is more than just a hashtag to most Western Window Systems employees. At least to one day-shift team member, it’s become a rallying cry of sorts.

That team member is Joe Hernandez, a lead on the multi-slide frame crew.

“Joe strives to keep continuous flow in the department while motivating his team to work together,” says multi-slide frames manager Jason Wengert. “You will hear him say, ‘Oneteam’ when goals are met or when they exceed expectations.”

Joe, who started with the company in August 2014, is known as a guy who really pushes to increase operational stability by focusing on ways to improve processes.

“He looks for configurations that cause bottlenecks in the line, and he communicates ways to improve timely products, such as the placement of extrusions, simple jigs, and CNC programs,” says Wengert.

One thing that makes Joe so successful is his integrity. And he doesn’t expect success from his team without giving them proper recognition for their efforts.

“He truly believes in his team and their ability to get the job done,” says Wengert. “He believes in external and internal customer satisfaction by striving to meet deadlines but without compromising the integrity of the products.”

Congratulations to Joe Hernandez, Western Window Systems’ day shop employee of the month for November.
