Robert Espinoza

No matter what you do, preparation is key. And when it comes to setting up his department for success, Robert Espinoza, second shift team leader of the Series 670 window department, makes sure his team – as well as the next shift – has everything they need to achieve it.

“Rob is like the grandfather of the night shift – he takes care of everybody,” says Karl Price, window and screen department manager for Western Window Systems. “He trains the newcomers, cross-trains positions, and brings in snacks for the team.”

By ensuring products are produced with the highest quality and at a competitive lead time, Espinoza and his team accomplish customer satisfaction. When a Series 600 window was accidentally damaged before shipping, Price says Espinoza, who started at the company in 2014, didn’t shy away from addressing the problem quickly. He made certain that a new unit could be manufactured in time to make the shipping trailer.

“He’s the type of leader that buys his team Western apparel for Christmas and organized a farewell party for an employee that was leaving to go into the service,” says Price. “He leads by example and it shows.”

Congratulations to Robert Espinoza, Western Window Systems’ shop employee of the month for January.
