Johnny Muruato
In manufacturing, meeting a shop’s daily averages is paramount to a company’s productivity standards. But to some people, simply meeting the averages is not enough; they want to exceed them.
That’s Johnny Muruato in a nutshell.
“Whatever the daily averages, he sets goals to improve them,” says processing/assembly department manager Steve Center. “But he will never place quantity before quality.”
In fact, in terms of quality Johnny always has one question in mind, says Center: “What will the customer think?”
Johnny, who started in February 2016, is always willing take on new challenges, learn new skills, bounce ideas off management, and put in extra hours if necessary.
“This guy is very dedicated to his work and puts plenty of time into it,” Center says. “And, really, he can play any position on the field.”

Basketball
What are your hobbies?
I love to coach basketball for youth and high school. I just know how to teach it so well.
Who do you look up to or admire?
My father and my high school basketball coach, Michael Wirth.
Where do you most want to travel but have never been?
Italy.
If money were no object, what would you do all day?
Coach high school or college basketball.
What is your favorite family recipe?
Goulash.
What is your favorite movie?
I really don’t have a favorite, but I am really into documentaries.
What is your biggest success up until now?
Finding out that I’m going to be a father to a baby girl.
What’s your favorite part of working at Western Window Systems?
Working here has really made me believe I can make this into a career. I feel like every day I learn something new, so I’m never bored.
What is one fact about you that almost no one knows?
Many people see me with long hair and think I’m growing it out for the look, but I’m actually growing it out for the organization “Wigs for Kids.”
