Eduardo Zatarain

Any time a new member jumps aboard a team, there’s a learning curve. It’s every manager’s hope that the curve is as short as possible.

Fortunately for the night shift’s frames team, Eduardo Zatarain took very little time mastering the skills and techniques needed to fit into the department.

“Eduardo is fairly new to the department, and in a short time, he has become a big part of obtaining good hourly completion totals,” says frames manager Donald Hernandez. “He has developed skills in patio, basic multi-slides, thin-line splices, and 90-degree doors.”

Beyond his good work, Eduardo, who started with the company in January 2018, is the consummate teammate, always pitching in to help where needed and never leaving a task unfinished.

“Eduardo will jump in to finish off frames and help with final cleanup,” Hernandez says. “We have all seen times when the bell rings and everyone disappears. But Eduardo will not leave his team stranded.”

And a good disposition helps, too, when the hours become long or nerves become frayed.

“His attitude is contagious,” Hernandez says. “And his positive nature helps lighten the mood when we are faced with a difficult schedule.”

Congratulations to Eduardo Zatarain, Western Window Systems’ night shop employee of the month for July.
