Wasiu Amao

A manager can rest assured knowing he’s got team members who anticipate issues and then act quickly to head off potential problems.

That describes panels processor Wasiu Amao, who is at the ready when necessary.

“Wasiu knows where the work is needed and he instinctively goes there,” says panels manager Donald Hernandez. “He makes sure that carts are organized and ready to get filled up and worked on.”

Wasiu, who’s been with the company since February 2018, is essential to the team’s meeting its production quotas.

“He is always making sure that the far-side builders aren’t hunting down metal, so they can get their two per hour,” says Hernandez.

Wasiu also has no problem stepping in to help when other departments may be down a body or two. And he always seems to have the backs of those who need extra assistance.

“When receiving was shorthanded, he was eager to go and learn that department,” says Hernandez. “No matter what you need from him – big or small – he’s always willing to help.”

And, says his manager, Wasiu does it all with a smile on his face. “He always puts those around him in a good mood.
