Mario Garcia

When it comes to Mario Garcia, lead in the shop’s frames department on night shift, the phrase “a real go-getter” is an understatement. Originally hired as a temp in the frames department, Mario worked hard “to earn himself a spot on our team,” frames manager Jason Wengert says. “No matter the task, he never – I mean, never – complained.”

Each hour, Jason reviews what his team has accomplished. “Mario knows exactly what has happened and why there was a struggle or a success,” Jason continues. “On top of that, he has a plan for the next hour, too.”

Mario started in the shop assembling one component in the frames department in October 2018, then quickly learned how to assemble other parts of the frames. “He jumped in on jambs, and once he mastered jambs, he learned the sill portion,” Jason says. “This made him versatile within his team.”

Now a lead in the frames department, Mario has the ability to train others and is quick to jump in if someone needs a hand. “He encourages his team to work together, especially when trying to achieve hourly goals,” Jason says.

Congratulations, Mario Garcia, on being Western Window Systems’ night shift shop employee of the month for May!
